Nutrient management in recirculating hydroponic culture

This paper discusses the various strategies that can be used to recirculate and reuse nutrient solutions in hydroponic culture to reduce environmental risks and economic costs, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy, including managing of nutrients by mass balance, differential nutrient removal from the solution, development of an appropriate refill solution, identifying appropriate refill intervals, and monitoring of nutrients in the solution.
