Pomological characteristics of new scab (Venturia inaequalis) resistant varieties of apple (Malus domestica Borkh.)

Twelve trees of each of 15 scab resistant apple cultivars recently introduced into Slovenia (William's Pride, Nela, Redfree, Rubinola, Delorina (Harmonie), Produkta, Rajka, Topaz, Ariwa, Relinda, Ecolette, Goldstar, Enterprise, Renora and Goldrush) were planted at Brdo pri Lukovici in 1999 (except for Ecolette which was planted in 1998). Fruit quality was evaluated at harvest in 2002 and 2003 (acidity, firmness, dry matter (DM) content ( degrees Brix) and starch index).
