Abstract
DNA samples of diseased rice tissues from Jilin, China were analysed by rep-PCR using forward and reverse primers of Pot2, an element found in approximately 100 copies in the M. grisea genome. The molecular weight of the fragments ranged from 0.5 to 3 kb, with amplification fragments ranging from 1 to 6. One common band was common in all DNA fingerprints. The isolates of the pathogen were divided into 7 lineages.
