Qualitative and quantitative studies of hunting species in four types of olive groves in Jaen

Qualitative and quantitative studies of hunting species in four types of olive groves in Jaen

Boletin de Sanidad Vegetal, Plagas 30(1): 133-150

The species of hunted wild animals in 4 types of olive groves in Jaen, Spain, were studied. Bird diversity was greatest in the Traditional Grove, which was characterized by a greater environmental heterogeneity. In this grove, Turdus philomelos, T. iliacus, Columba palumbus and Oryctolagus cuniculus were recorded. Intense Grove 1 (with certain environmental heterogeneity) presented greater density of Streptopelia turtur, Alectoris rufa and Lepus granatensis.
