Quantitative genetic analysis of SDS sedimentary value and gluten content in wheat hybrids

The inheritance of SDS sedimentary value and gluten content was studied in 8 wheat cultivars and their 56 hybrids using the p2 diallel design. The main genetic parameters for these traits were estimated. Significant segregation among the F2 endosperms was detected for the SDS sedimentary value of wheat grains, indicating that the genetic expression of SDS sedimentary value might be controlled by the triploid endosperm genotypes.
