A field experiment was conducted during rainy (kharif) and winter (rabi) seasons of 2001/02 and 2002/03 in New Delhi, India, under irrigated condition to determine the residual effect of organic and inorganic sources of N applied to cotton on performance of wheat. Treatments comprised: control (T1); 30 kg N/ha (T2); 60 kg N/ha (T3); Az. M4 (T4); Az. W5 (T5); farmyard manure (FYM) at 12 t/ha (T6); 30 kg N/ha + Az. M4 (T7); 30 kg N/ha + Az.
