A total of 129 M. grisea isolates from Guangdong, Guangzi, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces in China were collected in 2000 and tested for resistance frequency to kitazin P and carbendazim. Kitazin P (which has not been used in 10 years) resistance was 79%. One carbendazim resistant isolate was observed from Gaoyao City, Guangdong (0.78 resistance frequency). The minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of hyphal melanization was used to detect the sensitivity of the isolates to tricyclazole.
