The response of 7 soyabean cultivars (Aldana, Polan, Progres, Mazowia, Jutro, Gaj and Nawiko) to salinity (25 mmol sodium chloride dm-3) was studied in Poland during 2001 and 2002. The results showed that salt stress reduced stomatal conductance, transpiration, photosynthesis, number and weight of nodules, chlorophyll content, and biomass, but increased leaf water saturation deficit.
