Sequencing of cDNA clones and analysis of the expressed sequence tags (ESTs) properties of young tea plant (Camellia sinensis) shoots

Sequencing of cDNA clones and analysis of the expressed sequence tags (ESTs) properties of young tea plant (Camellia sinensis) shoots

Journal of Agricultural Biotechnology 13(1): 21-25

The construction of cDNA libraries of tea (Camellia sinensis) cultivars Longjing 43 and Anji Baicha, the sequencing of Longjing 43 cDNA clones and the analysis of expressed sequence tags (ESTs) from the cDNA libraries are reported. A total of 4320 clones from the cDNA library of Longjing 43 were sequenced and 2963 useful sequences were obtained, corresponding to 68.5% of the total cDNA library.
