The diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis in Vaslui District by an enzyme immunoassay for detection of gamma-interferon

The diagnosis of bovine tuberculosis in Vaslui District by an enzyme immunoassay for detection of gamma-interferon

Revista Romana de Medicina Veterinara 14(3): 149-154

Epidemiological investigations were conducted on cattle in the Vaslui district, Romania, in 2000-2003 under the Strategical Programme for Supervision and Control of bovine tuberculosis. Cattle over 6 months of age were submitted to the intradermal reaction for tuberculosis diagnosis (IDR-TU). All positive and/or uncertain samples were retested after 15-30 days by an enzyme immunoassay sandwich method for the detection of gamma-interferon (EIAs- gamma IFN) on in vitro-stimulated blood samples.
