The influence of spatial vegetation distribution on Taim Wetland hydrodynamics

The influence of spatial vegetation distribution on Taim Wetland hydrodynamics

Dynamics and biogeochemistry of river corridors and wetlands: 78-85

Water circulation plays an important ecological role in ecosystems such as wetlands. Thus, understanding wetland hydrodynamics becomes an essential factor to the success of conservation and restoration projects. This paper describes the application of a two-dimensional, depth-averaged, hydrodynamic model to the system formed by Lake Mangueira and the Taim Wetland (Brazil).
