The seasonal dynamics of flea (Siphonaptera) numbers on bank voles (Clethrionomys glareolus) in the north part of Novgorod Region

The seasonal dynamics of flea (Siphonaptera) numbers on bank voles (Clethrionomys glareolus) in the north part of Novgorod Region

Parazitologiya 37(3): 177-190

12 flea species were observed on bank voles. Four out of 12 (Amalaraeus penicillige, Ctenophthalmus uncinatus, Megabothris turbidus, Peromescopsylla bidentata) were abundant in some seasons of the year. The numbers of 4 other species (C. agyrtes. Hystrichopsylla talpae, P. silvatica, Rhadinopsylla integella) were low in this study. The last 4 species (Amphypsylla rossica, M. walkeri, Doratopsylla dasycnema, Palaeopsylla soricis) were not peculiar to bank voles.
