The thermal behaviour of animal houses in summer hot climate: experimental contributions to the theoretical model

An analysis of the thermal performances of 2 buildings: a dairy housing and a pig housing, representative of the typical housing of the Po plane was conducted during a hot summer in Italy. After the measurement of various hydrothermal parameters, the thermal exchanges through the different building components and by ventilation were calculated and the total heat balance of the building was set out considering also the animal contribution.
