Tourism destination as a locally embedded system: analogy between tourism destination and industrial district

Local industrial systems have developed in a number of countries and in specific local conditions but the point common to all of them is the complex development of an area occurring bottom-up and tending to full employment of subjective and material potentials. The basic idea of locally embedded industrial systems is found in Marshall's concept of industrial district.
