Pratique Veterinaire Equine 36(143): 49-53
Ultrasonography of the supraspinous ligament in horse
Back problems are regularly identified as a cause of poor performance in sport horses. The development of ultrasonography improved the knowledge of soft tissue injuries of the back. The purpose of this paper is to present the ultrasonographic technique to image the supraspinous ligament, to show reference ultrasonographic images and to present the main clinical conditions that can be diagnosed with this technique.
