Various control methods used against chestnut blight (Cryphonectria parasitica (Murrill) Barr) in chestnut grafted trees

Various control methods used against chestnut blight (Cryphonectria parasitica (Murrill) Barr) in chestnut grafted trees

Ondokuz Mays Universitesi, Ziraat Fakultesi Dergisi 20(1): 24-29

A research was conducted to control the chestnut blight disease (Cryphonectria parasitica) in a chestnut orchard during 1998-2003. Grafted trees of SA 5-1, SE 3-12, SE 18-2, SE 21-2, SE 21-9, 552-8, 552-10, 554-2, 554-14, 552-7 and 556-8 chestnut genotypes, copper oxychloride (5%), benomyl 50 WP (60 g/100 litres water) and some hypovirulent strains were used and the effects of cultural, chemical and biological control methods were investigated for managing chestnut blight disease.
