Weed management in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) under dryland conditions

A field experiment was conducted during winter seasons of 1997-2002 at Hisar, Haryana, India to study weed-management practices in Indian mustard (Brassica juncea RH 819) under dryland conditions. The weed control treatments included: weed-free control; hand weeding at 25 days after sowing (DAS); handweeding at 25 and 45 DAS; pendimethalin and trifluralin at 0.75 and 1.00 kg a.i./ha; and pendimethalin or trifluralin + one hand weeding at 45 DAS.
