A 14 day double-blind, randomized clinical trial was performed on parallel groups of patients presenting osteoarthritis of the knee, hip or hand (place and date not given). The study compared the safety and efficacy of Alginac versus placebo. Physical examinations and laboratory evaluations were performed prior to treatment and at the conclusion of the study. The use of concomitant medications and incidence of adverse events was evaluated at each study visit.
