Cost requirements for cultivation of boro rice (Oryza sativa) under different farming systems

Journal of Agronomy 4(4): 366-368

An investigation was conducted on boro rice farms at four villages in Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. Twenty-five farmers were considered for the study and 57 plots were selected. The farmers were interviewed using a specially designed and pre-tested questionnaire to elicit data on cost requirements in producing boro rice. Input cost per hectare varied from Tk.14 877 to 18 145 and output varied from Tk.25 101 to 31 647, respectively under different farm sizes.
