Effect of antioxidant preparation along with ivermectin in the therapeutic management of generalized canine demodicosis

Effect of antioxidant preparation along with ivermectin in the therapeutic management of generalized canine demodicosis

Intas Polivet 6(2): 340-345

Ivermectin orally (300 micro g/kg bw on alternate day) or parenterally (400 micro g/kg bw S.C. at weekly interval) alone or in combination with antoxid, an antioxidant preparation, were evaluated against generalized canine demodicosis. The efficacy of different therapeutic regimens were assessed based on the disappearance of clinical symptoms, skin scraping examination and restoration of altered haematobiochemical parameters.
