Effect of different levels of irrigation and cobalt on growth and nodulation of summer groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

A study was conducted in West Bengal, India, during the summer season of 2002 and 2003 to determine the effects of different irrigation levels and cobalt on the growth and nodulation of groundnut TAG-24. Treatments comprised: four irrigation levels (rainfed, irrigation at 0.3, 0.5 and 0.8 atmospheric tension) and three cobalt treatments (no cobalt, seed treatment with 1 ppm cobalt sulfate solution, and soil application of cobalt sulfate at 25 mg/m2).
