Field experiment was conducted during the rainy seasons (1995-1996) at the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur, India, to study the effect of different sources of organic nitrogen with and without inorganic nitrogenous fertilizer on the yield of rice (Oryza sativa). Twelve treatments were laid out on clayed soil under rainfed condition in plain area.
