Effect of growth regulators on chlorophyll and carotenoid content in the flavedo of Baramasi lemon fruits during storage

Effect of growth regulators on chlorophyll and carotenoid content in the flavedo of Baramasi lemon fruits during storage

Haryana Journal of Horticultural Sciences 34(1/2): 42-44

A laboratory experiment was conducted to study the effect of the application of different plant growth regulators, i.e. 200 ppm GA3, 100 ppm 2,4-D and 25 ppm cytokinin, on the chlorophyll and carotenoid contents in the flavedo of lemon Baramasi fruits during storage. All the growth regulator treatments recorded significantly higher chlorophyll a, b and ab contents than the control.
