Effect of rootstocks and double trunk on growth and fruiting of apple trees 'Rubin'

Effect of rootstocks and double trunk on growth and fruiting of apple trees 'Rubin'

Sodininkyste ir Darzininkyste 23(2): 336-342

Apple trees were planted on M.9, P.22, and P.59 rootstocks in autumn of 1999. The experiment consisted of five replications with two trees in each. In June 2000, the trees on M.9 and P.59 rootstocks were grafted with sections of P.22 rootstock one-year-old shoots of 10 cm in length. In the following year, the ring of bark of 1 cm in width was taken from the main trunk.
