Mortality tests were conducted to evaluate the effects of methyl iodide (MI) fumigation against the pine wood nematode, Bursaphelenchus xylophilus. Red pine (Pinus densiflora) lumber (15 cm thick x 15 cm wide x 30 cm long) infected with the pine wood nematode were fumigated at different doses of MI at different temperatures for 24 hours with 25 and 50% loading.
