During 108 days, 16 Friesian cows (four of them primiparous and two rumen cannulated), averaging 78 +or-58 days of lactation; 595+or-63.5 kg body weight; 18+or-4.1 kg of milk; 4.16+or-0.64 fat and 3.39%+or-0,6 protein, were blocked in four groups randomly assigned according to a latin square design for 4 periods of 27 days.
