Fruits of okra Arka Anamika were harvested 15, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 days after anthesis and subjected to immediate seed extraction and drying (D1), or 6-day drying before manual seed extraction (D2) in an experiment conducted in Bijapur, Karnataka, India during the rabi and kharif seasons of 1998. Fruit length and girth, total dry matter production, seed diameter, dry seed weight and 100-seed weight were higher with D2 than with D1.
