Growth and yield in stands of Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis (Bong.) Carr.) in Norway

Growth and yield in stands of Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis (Bong.) Carr.) in Norway

Rapport fra Skogforskningen (4): 46 pp.

The report presents stand growth and yield models for Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis) plantations in Western and Northern Norway, based on 114 long-term plots and 923 increment periods of about five years length. Most of the seed originates from southern parts of Alaska. Previous top height growth curves and volume functions for Sitka spruce in Norway were applied, and the growth simulator program also includes functions for initial diameter, diameter increment and heights.
