Inter and intrapopulational genetic variation of some genetic resources of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst)

Inter and intrapopulational genetic variation of some genetic resources of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst)

Anale Institutul de Cercetari si Amenajari Silvice 45: 67-77

The genetic diversity of 63 natural populations of Picea abies and some artificial populations of unknown origin belonging to variety europaea was studied in two kinds of comparative trials, viz., half-sib progenies and populations. Preliminary results showed that there is an intrapopulational genetic variation with various amplitude regarding the character, the population and the testing site. Simple, direct and indirect correlations were observed between different characters and age.
