Natural infection of Cysticercus pisiformis in domestic rabbits and a study of experimental infection in the final host (dogs)

Cysticercus pisiformis was isolated from 68.18% of the 22 naturally infected rabbits. The postmortem changes observed were petechial haemorrhage beneath the capsule and parenchyma of the liver, and large numbers of cysts attached to the liver, peritoneum, diaphragm and peritoneal cavity.
