Physical properties of horse gram (Dolichos biflorus)

Physical properties of horse gram (Dolichos biflorus)

Journal of Food Science and Technology Mysore 43(2): 133-136

The dimensions, grain size, sphericity, terminal velocity, grain mass, volume, angle of repose, bulk density, true density, bulk porosity and static coefficient of friction of horse gram grain (Dolichos biflorus) (Macrotyloma uniflorum) as a function of moisture content were determined. At moisture content of 9.0%, the average length, width and thickness of horse gram were 5.9, 4.0 and 1.9 mm, respectively.
