Relationships among the phenotypical properties related to drought tolerance in winter bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes

Correlation coefficient and path analysis in relation to drought tolerance were carried out using 8 bread wheat cultivars in a field experiment conducted in Turkey during 1998-99. Initial water content, grain filling period and flag leaf area were the most important selection criteria for drought tolerance. The effects of waxiness on grain yield was not significant.
