Results regarding the seed germination in Calendula officinalis L

Seed germination of two Calendula officinalis (cultivars De Someseni and De Panticeu) from Cluj, Romania, were studied under different germination conditions in the laboratory. Seed germination was determined at TP (top of the paper) or BP (between papers) at 20-30 degrees C. Germination energy was evaluated after 4-7 days and germination capacity was evaluated after 14 days. Germination values were higher in BP than in TP. De Panticeu had a higher germination capacity than De Someseni.
