The interaction between jasmonates and abscisic acid during ripening of apple fruit

The interaction between jasmonates and abscisic acid during ripening of apple fruit

Acta Horticulturae (682(Vol 1)): 337-342

The interaction between jasmonates (jasmonic acid (JA) and methyl jasmonate (MeJA)) and abscisic acid (ABA) was investigated in fruits of 'Orin' apple, sampled in Hiroshima, Japan, at 187, 191 and 200 days after full flowering. The effect of exogenous MeJA (1 mM) or ABA (1 mM) on 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) level was also examined.
