This chapter uses Butler's Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC) model combined with an historical analysis approach in order to investigate the trends in tourism development on the Opatija Riviera (Croatia) and provide insights into issues affecting the rejuvenation of the area as a tourism destination. Stages in the life cycle of the Opatija Riviera are identified, graphically presented and described.
