Variability between genotypes of common bean for the efficiency of using phosphorus

Phaseolus vulgaris cultivars BAT 477, Carioca MG. Emgopa 201, Jalo Precoce, Perola, Rosinha, Roxo and Xamego were supplied with 24 or 120 mg P2O5/dm3 in a greenhouse experiment conducted in Minas Gerais Brazil from July to August 1997. The genotypes were classified as efficient and responsive, not efficient but responsive, efficient but not responsive, and not efficient and not responsive to phosphorus.
