Sixty (28+or-2) day-old Landrace x Yorkshire x Ding crossbred weanling piglets were randomly divided into 3 groups of 20 piglets each by weight and sex. The piglets in Group I were fed a basal diet for 28 days postweaning, Group II was fed the diet plus 250 mg/kg copper (from CuSO4/5H2O) for 14 days postweaning then fed a basal diet for 14 more days and Group III was fed the diet plus 250 mg/kg copper (from CuSO4/5H2O) for 28 days postweaning. The trial was conducted for 28 days.
