A field experiment was carried out during the kharif seasons of 2002 and 2003 to determine the effect of integrated management of farmyard manure (FYM), crop residues (CR), green manure (GM; Sesbania aculeata green leaf) and inorganic fertilizers in high-yielding rice (cv. IET 4786) in the subhumid subtropical climatic condition at new alluvial zone of West Bengal, India.
