Chickpea H 96-99 plants were irrigated with 0, 2.5, 5 and 10 dSm-1 55-65 days after sowing in the screenhouse to determine the effects of salinity in ethylene evolution, antioxidative defence system and membrane integrity in relation to changes in plant water and mineral status in the roots of the crop.
