2 4 5 t causes behavioral effects in chickens at environmentally relevant doses

Science 211(4482): 593-595

Administration of the herbicide, 2,4,5-T to incubating chicken eggs altered behavior after hatching. Single doses, with no morphological effects, retarded learning (lowest dose, 7 mg/kg of body wt) and increased general activity (27 mg/kg) and jumping (13 mg/kg). Day 15 of incubation was the most susceptible stage of development.
