The fruit pulp of Tetrapleura tetraptera has yielded aridanin, a novel 3-O-[.beta.-D-glucopyranosyl-2'-acetamido-2'-deoxy]-oleanolic acid. Hentriacontane, phenylpropanoids and carbohydrate residues were also isolated and identified.
