Abstract
The percent of water content was estimated in the whole animal and different tissues of the freshwater crab in relation to age and sex. The content in the whole animal and the tissues did not vary in relation to age, and the sex differences were also not evident. The tissue water content decreased in the order of gill, muscle, heart and hepatopancreas. The whole animal water content was 72.40, and the water content in mucle, gill, heart and hepatopancreatic tissues were 77.58, 83.15, 76.43 and 69.24, respectively.
