Analysis of the karyotypes of related species vicia lilacina and vicia cracca

Analysis of the karyotypes of related species vicia lilacina and vicia cracca

Izvestiya Sibirskogo Otdeleniya Akademii Nauk SSSR Seriya Biologicheskikh Nauk (3): 100-104

The karyotypes of related species V. lilacina Ledeb. and V. cracca L. of natural populations from the Altai Mountains [USSR] were studied. V. lilacina has 2n = 12 and V. cracca has 2n = 14. The drawings and idiograms of these karyotypes are shown. They illustrate species distinctions by chromosome number and their morphology.
