Anti microbial activities of the essential oils of artemisia absinthium artemisia vestita and artemisia vulgaris

The antibacterial and antifungal activities of 3 freshly extracted essential oils from the air dried leaves of A. absinthium, A. vestita and A. vulgaris against 7 selected bacteria and 3 fungi are reported, using a serial dilution method. All 3 essential oils showed pronounced activity only at the 1:1000 dilution.
