Antigenic comparison between tritrichomonas suis and tritrichomonas foetus part 3 immuno electrophoresis

Antigenic comparison between tritrichomonas suis and tritrichomonas foetus part 3 immuno electrophoresis

Revista de Microbiologia 8(4): 107-109

Antigens prepared from T. suis and T. foetus were separated by gel immunoelectrophoresis and reacted with the immune sera prepared from rabbits injected with gross antigens of each species of Tritrichomonas. The largest number and strongest precipitating lines were obtained in the reactions between antigens and their homologous immune sera. The immunoelectrophoretic study produced additional information about the number of antigenic components showing the presence of at least 3 specific antigenic groups for T. foetus and 1 for T. suis. Reuslts were related to data obtained by indirect immunofluorescence (IFI) and gel immunodiffusion.
