Abstract
The essential oils of Stewartiella baluchistanica, Psammogeton canescens, and Ducrosia anethifolia were studied for their inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae, and Vibrio cholerae in emulsified broth by spectrophotometric method. All the oils showed inhibitory effect but the oil of P. canescens was found to be the most effective.
