ISSN/ISBN: 0079-3647

Apiculture can boast a long tradition and extensive literature. The Polish beekeeping literature was studied, with special consideration of the descriptions of the diseases of the bees and of the methods of treatment and prophylaxis. These investigations resulted in the conclusion that the beginnings of Polish apipathology were drawn from ancient sources. The present paper is the result of a study of these sources and constitutes a part of the history of the development of apipathology in Poland.
