Abstract
The nannofloras in these samples, are rare, poorly preserved and contain a number of reworked taxa. Penecontemporaneous taxa include Emiliana ovata, Gephyrocapsa spp., Coccolithus pelagicus, Cyclococcolithus spp., Helicopontosphaera spp., Pontosphaera discopora, Rhabdosphaera claviger, Braarudosphaera bigelowi and Thoracosphaera heimi. Paleoenvironmental interpretation is difficult because of the winnowed nature of the material and the inclusion of reworked specimens.
