Changes in the synthesis of normal antibodies to 1 of the common enterobacterial antigens in carcinogenesis and oncogenesis in rats and man

Changes in the synthesis of normal antibodies to 1 of the common enterobacterial antigens in carcinogenesis and oncogenesis in rats and man

ISSN/ISBN: 0002-3027

Normal antibodies to common bacterial antigens in the serum of rats treated with carcinogens, in healthy individuals and in patients with sub- and anacidic gastritis and cancer were studied. During carcinogenesis in Wistar rats, immunostimulation, subsequent immunodepression and compensatory secondary immunostimulation were revealed every 2 wk. Human serum also showed some regularities similar to those observed in experiments at young ages and during oncogenesis. To detect immunodepression of normal antibodies by carcinogen patients should undergo periodic examinations throughout their entire life.
