The characteristics of the repair processes in the small intestine of Wistar rats after local exposure in different doses were studied. The maximum radiation dose for reepithelization of the mucosa and recovery of the enzyme activity of parietal digestion was 1400 rad. The small intestine mucosa status after total-body and local exposures demonstrated a more flaccid regeneration following total-body irradiation.
